• Technical data security: All connections to Coinfox are SSL encrypted. Your data (including transaction history and API keys) is stored encrypted on our servers. These servers are located in highly secure data centers in Germany and are regularly updated and reviewed. Regular backups ensure that your data remains protected even in emergencies (e.g., server failures).
• API key protection: If you use API integrations, we always recommend granting read-only access. Coinfox does not require withdrawal permissions. Your API keys are stored encrypted, so that no one (not even our team) can view them in plaintext. This allows you to connect to exchanges without your funds being at risk.
• Login security: With features like secure password policies and two-factor authentication (2FA), you can further secure your account. 2FA ensures that even if your password is compromised, unauthorized access will not be granted (see Two-Factor Authentication below for more details). We recommend that all users enable this option.
• Data protection & GDPR: As a German provider, Coinfox is subject to the strict regulations of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your personal data is only collected to the necessary extent and is used solely for the provision of our service. We do not sell user data and do not share anything with third parties without your consent. Upon request, you can initiate a complete deletion of your data (see Account Management).
• Confidentiality: All Coinfox employees are obligated to maintain data confidentiality. Should a support case arise where access to your data is necessary, this will only be done with your permission and under strict confidentiality.
